Short Barrel DHS Plate (DCP Holes)

Original price was: $ 12.50.Current price is: $ 10.87.

The Short Barrel DHS Plate (DCP Holes) provides stable fixation for proximal femoral fractures, working with a DHS lag screw to deliver dynamic compression at the fracture site. Available in 2 to 12 holes and angles from 120° to 145°, it’s manufactured in stainless steel and titanium at Sami’s Instruments’ ISO 13485 and CE-certified facility, offering surgeons precise angle-to-anatomy matching for pertrochanteric and intertrochanteric fractures.

SKU: SI-1357 Category:

Sami’s Instruments manufactures the Short Barrel DHS Plate (DCP Holes) for stable internal fixation of proximal femoral fractures. This side plate pairs with a sliding lag screw in the Dynamic Hip Screw system, so it allows controlled dynamic compression at the fracture site during weight-bearing. As a result, surgeons rely on this design for reliable healing in pertrochanteric, intertrochanteric, and select subtrochanteric fracture patterns.

Design and Function

Short Barrel, Precise Angle Options

The short barrel geometry suits shorter DHS lag screw lengths, so it keeps the barrel-to-screw relationship compact for cases that don’t need the full-length barrel. Because surgeons must match barrel angle to individual femoral neck-shaft anatomy, we produce this plate in six angle configurations: 120°, 125°, 130°, 135°, 140°, and 145°.

Dynamic Compression (DCP) Holes

Each plate features DCP holes along the shaft, which let surgeons place screws eccentrically to generate axial compression across the fracture line. In addition to this shaft compression, the DHS lag screw itself provides sliding compression at the fracture site.

Hole Count Range

We manufacture this plate in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-hole configurations. Consequently, surgeons get a working range of plate lengths that match different fracture locations and the amount of femoral shaft coverage each case requires.

Material and Manufacturing

We offer this plate in two material options. For the stainless steel version, we use German surgical-grade stainless steel, which resists corrosion and withstands mechanical load over repeated cycles. For the titanium version, we use surgical-grade titanium alloy instead, so surgeons get a lighter implant with strong biocompatibility. Because titanium also reduces stress-shielding and supports MRI compatibility, many surgeons prefer it for specific cases. Throughout manufacturing, our Sialkot facility follows ISO 13485 and CE-certified processes, and our team checks dimensions and surface finish on every plate before dispatch.

Clinical Applications

Surgeons use this plate for simple and multiple pertrochanteric fractures, intertrochanteric fractures, femoral neck fractures, and select subtrochanteric fracture patterns where a shorter barrel construct fits the case. During fixation, they combine it with a compatible DHS lag screw and 4.5mm cortex screws along the plate shaft.

Why Choose Sami’s Instruments

With over two decades of manufacturing experience in Sialkot’s surgical instrument industry, we supply orthopedic trauma implants to hospitals and distributors worldwide. Because we hold ISO 13485 and CE certification, we maintain consistent tolerances across every angle and hole configuration we produce.
