The L Buttress Plate is an orthopedic fixation implant with an angled, L-shaped profile. It buttresses the lateral or medial cortex of long bones during fracture stabilization. The offset head lets the plate sit closely against the bone contour. This supports fragment reduction while minimizing interference with nearby anatomical structures. Surgeons can choose left or right configurations, several hole counts, and either premium German stainless steel or titanium.
Features & Benefits
- Left and right configurations — Since the plate head is offset, the left and right versions follow the natural anatomy of the corresponding limb. This helps surgeons position the plate more precisely against the bone during buttress plating.
- Multiple hole configurations — The plate comes in 4 to 14 holes. As a result, surgical teams can match plate length and screw placement to the extent of the fracture and the fixation pattern they need.
- Premium German stainless steel — This material offers strength and corrosion resistance, which makes it a common choice for surgical implants.
- Titanium option — For teams that prefer a lighter implant with different handling characteristics, titanium provides an alternative.
- Screws included — Each plate ships with the screws needed for fixation, so instrument trays require less separate preparation.
